Julie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Her interests are working with children, adolescents, and adults in the following areas: grief/loss, anxiety, depression, self harm, emotional and behavioral issues, trauma, adoption and foster care, reunification, divorce, parenting difficulties, anger, and ADHD. Julie is experienced in working with toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, teenagers, and parents in various capacities in classrooms and schools since 1999. During her career as a mental health professional, she has provided individual and family therapy, in-home skills training, and crisis treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Community Psychology with a minor in Child & Family Studies from St. Cloud State University in 2007. She also received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of MN in 2013. Julie is an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), and has a Registered Play Therapist certificate from the APT (Association for Play Therapy). Julie has received training at St. Mary’s University of MN in Directive Play Therapy techniques, Sand Tray Therapy, and Experiential Play Therapy.
