Katie Stangl, MS, LMFT, RPT
Katie Stangl is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist experienced in working with children birth and up as well as adolescents and families. She utilizes a developmental perspective when working with clients as well as a cognitive behavioral and psychoeducational approach to assist children and their families in learning how to manage behaviors and learn how to regulate emotions. Katie has experience working with trauma, domestic violence, loss, relationship and affect difficulties in infancy and early childhood as well as disrupted attachments, depression, anxiety, and behavioral concerns. She received a Post Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy from Saint Mary’s University as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health from the University of Minnesota. Katie has a passion for working with children and their families to help improve the dynamics of family relationships and to help decrease stress and frustration in the home environment.
